I suggest you concentrate on internal self communication and in particular the way you focus on your goals. I have heard many people talk about what they DON'T want when talking about their goals. The trouble here is that the subconscious mind actually doesn't understand negatives. The possibilities of distance Reiki are endless for everyone. The convenience of not having to travel can be a comfort for someone who is going through other medical treatments, if someone is very fatigued, if they have other physical limitations, and also if their pet cannot be moved very far.
This brings up an interesting point. Some people don't want to be "healed." It's a controversial issue, but Louise Haye was the first one to write about it, I think. And Caroline Myss wrote in the "Anatomy of the Spirit," that we as a society lead with our wounds. Did you actually know that if you fell a bit sad, or down, or don't feel very well and you actually smile rather than frown, the smiling position of your face muscles will be recorded by your brain as happy and in a few minutes you will start feeling much better?
This same process is reasonable if we have decided to weigh the evidence in order to make a choice about our and our families eating habits. We have much data available with which to make a decision but the key is to decide which information is true, or at least which is true for our unique situation and which is not. Some of my previous articles (which I hope you will read) have set forth some information regarding the differences between an animal-based diet and a plant-based diet. With many of the different alternative therapy options, advocates will say that it is not going to hurt anything. This is true for sure. Praying does not cost anything but it takes little time. When used with typical medical procedure it can only help with a person's health.
Fast-forward to early May and I signed up for some events and duly set about my training with renewed gusto. I was making fair use of our treadmill and thoroughly enjoying racking up the miles. I was enjoying it so much I was running every day and loving it. I was finally thinking logically, and I was hooked and addicted immediately. I have found that with the power of running, I am able to fine tune my brain, my body, and my spirit, as if it is all combined into a deep inner fire that is constantly burning inside of us all. Once you become aware of your behaviour and recognize what has caused this and are committed to changing it or letting it go, you can then see the benefits this change will bring about. In time you will come to realize that you have a choice, to dwell on these feelings, continue to attach to the experience or stop reliving the hurt and move on. I propose an integral view to healing trauma, one that incorporates the mind, body, and psyche.
